Looking Forward

Wow, the middle of September. 5 days until autumn begins. Arg, I'm really not ready to say good-bye to summer, but then again, I don't really have a choice! However, there are many positive, exciting things to look forward to in the coming months.

I love autumn; the bright reds, yellows and oranges in the changing leaves, the smell of the crisp air. I love hiking through the woods, next to the great Atlantic Ocean on the East Coast Trail. If you've never hiked the ECT, you ought to put it on your list-of-MUST-things-to-do-in-life.

I have a new puppy, a Shiloh Shepherd named Otis, who is now 10.5 weeks old and 25 lbs. I look forward to watching him grow (he should reach between 130-140lbs), training him to be a good, smart companion and taking him along with me on the beautiful hikes.

I have a brand new CD coming out at the end of September (check out my website and myspace below!). I look forward to doing press to promote it and playing the new material to old, and new, audiences.

I love to craft and sew. I look forward to learning new sewing techniques over the coming months when it's too cold or messy to go outside.

I'm glad I wrote this blog. Now I'm not feeling so bad about it being the middle of September. I will post photos of my hikes, travels, gigs, growing puppy and crafts as I go along.
